The unit and sometimes the local power will be off briefly during testing, and outdoor units in awkward positions may need safe access arranged. My AC isn't cooling — is that a repair or a gas refill?

It can be either. Your technician will diagnose it first: if a component has failed it's a repair, and if cooling has dropped purely because refrigerant is low, that's a gas refill. Either way you'll get a clear recommendation before any work.

Can you fix faults caused by power surges or my generator?

What if the unit can't be repaired?
